Biography

Jørgen Søberg Petersen is a Senior Partner in Novo Holdings Seed Investments. After nine years in clinical and academic medicine in Denmark and the United States, he spent 18 years in R&D executive positions in Denmark, Switzerland, the United States, France and Germany. He co-founded and built the Nasdaq-listed biotech company Zealand Pharma, held senior leadership positions at Lundbeck and Novo Nordisk, and as SVP at Merck established the Immunology franchise. Novo Holdings lists his board seats as Acesion Pharma, Engimmune Therapeutics, Breye Therapeutics, Hemab Therapeutics, AnaCardio, Antag Therapeutics and RheumaLogics. He holds an MD, a PhD and a DMSc from the University of Copenhagen and an MBA from the Technical University of Denmark.
