He was previously a Managing Director at the Novartis Venture Fund, leading seed and Series A investments in therapeutic drug discovery projects, and also worked on dRx Capital, a Novartis digital health investment programme. Before becoming an investment professional he worked across several Novartis research and development units, including Trials of the Future and Investigative Toxicology. He holds a BA from Cornell University, a PhD in cell and microbiology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MD from Tufts University, and carried out post-doctoral studies at the Karolinska Institutet.
