MassMutual Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), which its website states is its sole limited partner. It describes itself as a multistage, global venture capital firm investing in enterprise software, cybersecurity, financial technology and digital health companies, and its homepage adds climate technology to that list. It runs two named fund families: a Climate Tech fund line, and an Enterprise SaaS, Fintech, Cybersecurity and HealthTech fund line. The Climate Tech fund invests in the United States and Canada, is centred on Series A and B with openness to seed, writes initial cheques of $2 million to $5 million, and targets four to six investments a year across climate intelligence, sustainable cities and clean power. The firm states it does not seek or solicit investment funds from individuals.
