View Live Interactive Profile →Willemijn Verloop is a Founding Partner of Rubio Impact Ventures, the Amsterdam impact fund she co-founded with Machtelt Groothuis under its original name Social Impact Ventures NL. She founded War Child Holland in 1994 and led the organisation for about fifteen years, and in 2012 co-founded the sector body Social Enterprise NL with Mark Hillen. Earlier in her career she worked at the United Nations Department of Political Affairs in New York and at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and spent three years as programme manager at the European Action Council for Peace in the Balkans. Rubio's own materials describe her as a serial social entrepreneur and a driving force behind the Dutch social enterprise movement. She was made an Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau in 2007 and received the Roosevelt Institute's Freedom from Fear award in 2008.
