Biography

Reed Sturtevant is a General Partner at Engine Ventures, with more than 40 years of experience across venture capital and the software industry in company formation, technology strategy, and software development. He was a general partner at The Engine, the tough tech fund launched from MIT, during its first year of investing in 2017. He previously founded and was Managing Director of Project 11 Ventures, served as Managing Director of Techstars Boston, was Vice President of Technology at Idealab Boston, and ran Microsoft Startup Labs in Cambridge. Earlier he founded Freelance Graphics, which was acquired by Lotus Development Corp. A graduate of MIT, he lectures in MIT entrepreneurship programs. He holds board seats at HyperLight, 2Pi, Amide, Ayo Semiconductor, DBOS, Oso Semiconductor, Trener Robotics, and The Routing Company.
