Biography

Louis (Lou) Schick is Director of Investments at Clean Energy Ventures, where he identifies adoptable climate innovations, runs technical diligence and coaches portfolio founders. He trained as a physicist and left a PhD program at Cornell University, and taught high school physics for five years before moving into industry. At GE he held multiple roles including managing a solid oxide fuel cell program overseeing more than 100 staff across several countries, and he later worked in product line management at MTI Micro, including military procurement. He has more than 20 years of experience as an early-stage and growth equity investor. He serves on advisory boards for the National Academies, Venture for Climate Tech and Trellis, and mentors through Greentown Labs and Village Capital. He is based in upstate New York.
