Biography

David S. Miller is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Clean Energy Ventures. He holds S.B. and S.M. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT and a Ph.D. from MIT's Laboratory for Energy and the Environment, and remains a Research Affiliate at MIT's Sloan School of Management. Earlier in his career he founded Quantum Telecom Solutions, which built programmable switching software and was sold to Excel Switching Corp. (later acquired by Lucent), after which he directed Lucent Technologies' New Ventures Group. From 2005 to 2017 he was Executive Managing Director of Clean Energy Venture Group, the angel cohort that preceded the institutional firm. He currently serves on the boards of Boston Materials, Pearl Certification, Volexion and Noon Energy, and his prior investments include Pika Energy, MyEnergy and Azima DLI.
