View Live Interactive Profile →David Parry, Ph.D. joined Samsara BioCapital in the fall of 2021 as a Venture Partner. Immediately before Samsara he worked in GSK's Global Business Development organisation for two years on search, evaluation and due diligence of immunology-focused opportunities, and before that in GSK's Discovery Partnerships with Academia research unit, working with US and EU academic institutions on early-stage innovation. Prior to GSK he was at Portola Pharmaceuticals on inflammatory disease and oncology drug discovery and development, and from 1999 to 2010 he was at DNAX Research in Palo Alto, where he led research, drug discovery and early clinical development of small molecule efforts in the cell cycle, DNA damage and repair, and biopharm targets in immuno-oncology. He received his BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from UMIST and a Ph.D. in Molecular Oncology from the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
