Biography

Chuck Templeton is Managing Partner and co-leader of S2G Investments, focused on value creation and helping portfolio companies scale. He founded OpenTable in 1998 and led it as CEO; the company went public on NASDAQ in 2009. He was founding Chairman of Grubhub, which went public in 2014, and was a lead investor and operating Chairman at Braintree Payment Systems, the parent of Venmo. From 2012 to 2014 he was Managing Director of Impact Engine, where he still serves on fund boards. He co-founded S2G in 2014. He began his career in the US Army and holds a degree in Environmental Economics from California Polytechnic State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
