Bruce Dunlevie co-founded Benchmark Capital in May 1995 and was a general partner and managing member of the firm. He served on the board of Rambus from the company's 1990 founding until June 2011, chairing it from May 2008, and also sat on the boards of Handspring from October 1998, palmOne and Palm from October 2003, and 1Life Healthcare, the parent of One Medical, from June 2007. Before Benchmark he was a general partner at Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre from 1989 to 1995 and ran the personal computer division at Everex Systems. He resigned from the WeWork board, a seat held through designation rights of Benchmark Capital Partners VII, effective 9 May 2023.
