Bob Kagle co-founded Benchmark Capital in May 1995 and was a member of its general partner. He served on the boards of eBay from June 1997, E-LOAN from January 1998, ZipRealty from November 1999, and later Jamba, Inc. Before Benchmark he was a general partner of Technology Venture Investors from January 1984. Venture Capital Journal reported in January 2011 that he was stepping back from the managing general partner role and would not serve as a managing general partner of Benchmark's seventh fund.
