SKY VC

SKY VC was founded in 2016 as JetBlue Technology Ventures, JetBlue's wholly-owned corporate venture subsidiary, before becoming part of SKY Leasing and rebranding in May 2025. Unlike broad software-focused corporate VCs, the firm is intensely vertical - organized entirely around the future of travel, hospitality, and transportation, with a team that blends venture investing experience with real airline operating knowledge. That combination produced its clearest outcome: an early bet on Joby Aviation, the electric air taxi company, whose August 2021 public listing was significant enough that the fund's own founding president, Bonny Simi, left to join Joby directly. SKY VC has invested in more than 50 companies since inception.
