March Capital

March Capital was founded in September 2013 by Jamie Montgomery and three fellow tech industry veterans with more than 50 years of combined investing experience, moving into a small Santa Monica office with a specific, then-contrarian thesis: enterprise software, cybersecurity, and India would become central pillars of the innovation economy. Montgomery's prior quarter-century running boutique investment bank Montgomery & Co., plus his founding of The Montgomery Summit - an annual technology conference now drawing more than 1,000 global entrepreneurs and investors - gave the firm an unusually deep network from inception. That combination of banking relationships and sector conviction played a real role in CrowdStrike's growth as a private company, where Montgomery served as board observer ahead of its 2019 NASDAQ IPO, and March closed a $240 million debut fund in 2016, then the largest first-time venture fund launched in Southern California, growing to more than $1 billion across four funds.
