Steve Jurvetson is Co-Founder of Future Ventures, the early stage deep technology firm he launched with Maryanna Saenko in 2018. Over a two decade career at Draper Fisher Jurvetson he led founding investments in companies including Hotmail, Skype, Planet Labs, D-Wave, Tesla, and SpaceX, and served on Tesla's board from 2006 to 2020. He remains a director of SpaceX and in 2024 joined the board of TMC the metals company as Vice Chairman. At Future Ventures he backs founder led companies in commercial space, fusion, quantum computing, robotics, and AI. Earlier he was an R&D engineer at Hewlett-Packard and worked in product marketing at Apple and NeXT. He holds a B.S., M.S., and M.B.A. from Stanford University and was appointed a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship in 2016.
