View Live Interactive Profile →Santi Subotovsky grew up in Argentina expecting to follow his father into mechanic work, but when no jobs were available, he founded his own company instead - AXG Tecnonexo, an e-learning platform he grew to 150 employees across Latin America and the U.S., landing clients like Bank of America and Coca-Cola. He moved to the United States in 2010 after more than 70 venture capital firms turned him down, eventually joining Emergence Capital as a Kauffman Fellow under founder Gordon Ritter's mentorship. He went on to lead Emergence's investment in Zoom when it was still a little-known startup, and remains on its board today. When Zoom founder Eric Yuan struggled to balance running the company with travel to meet investors, Subotovsky told him he'd go wherever Eric was, no matter the time or place - a gesture that came to define his hands-on investing style. He made his Forbes Midas List debut in 2021, becoming one of the first three Latin American venture capitalists to be named to the list.
