Biography

Peng T. Ong is co-founder and Managing Partner of Monk's Hill Ventures, which he started with Kuo-Yi Lim in 2014. He is a serial entrepreneur who co-founded Match.com, Interwoven and Encentuate; the firm states that products from the companies he co-founded collectively generate over US$1 billion in annual revenue today. Before Monk's Hill he was a Venture Partner at GSR Ventures. His current focus at the firm is AI-enabled businesses in Southeast Asia. He has served on Singapore public-sector and statutory boards including ACE, IIPL, SUTD, NRF, IE Singapore and IMDA, and on the public company boards of SingTel and YY, and today chairs the SolveEducation! foundation and is Rector of Residential College 4 at the National University of Singapore. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
