Biography

Omry Ben David is a Managing Partner at Viola Ventures, which he joined in 2017 when the fund rebranded from Carmel Ventures and raised its fifth fund. He previously spent close to a decade at Goldman Sachs, rising to Senior Vice President and East Coast Software Sector Captain in the TMT investment banking group, where he executed more than 30 transactions. Before banking he led sales, marketing and business development for the connectivity software unit at Jungo Software, which NDS acquired for $108 million in 2006, and served as a captain and company commander in an elite IDF combat unit. He invests in fintech, enterprise and SMB software and vertical AI. He holds a B.Sc. from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
