Biography

Nigel Morris co-founded Capital One and helped lead the company through its 1990s IPO before deciding fintech founders needed investors who'd actually run a financial services company, not just funded one. He co-founded QED Investors in 2007 with fellow Capital One alum Frank Rotman, and his clearest proof point since has been Nubank: he led QED's early investment in the Brazilian neobank and sat on its advisory board through its December 2021 NYSE IPO at a $41 billion market cap, since grown to $57 billion. He chairs ClearScore and Mission Lane, sits on the boards of Remitly, Bitso, and Current, and has appeared on the Forbes Midas List for four consecutive years, climbing 48 spots in 2024 alone - the second-largest jump of any investor that year.
