Biography

Neil Rimer co-founded Index Ventures in 1996 and served as a Partner there for more than 25 years before stepping down as an active Partner in 2021; the firm's site now lists him as a Retired Partner who continues to manage his portfolio and support the firm. Born in Montreal, he spent four years at Montgomery Securities in San Francisco and joined Index Securities, the predecessor of Index Ventures, in 1990.
