Index Ventures

Index Ventures traces its roots to Index Securities, a Swiss bond-trading firm founded by Gerald Rimer in 1976. His son Neil Rimer, along with David Rimer and Giuseppe Zocco, formally launched Index Ventures as a technology investment firm in Geneva in 1996. The firm opened its London office in 2002 - its current headquarters - and its San Francisco office in 2012, building a genuinely transatlantic practice that has backed Dropbox, Etsy, Discord, Robinhood, and Figma.
