Mike Volpi joined Index Ventures as a Partner in July 2009 and served in that role until June 2023, after which the firm's filings describe him as a Retired Partner; since December 2024 he has been a General Partner at Hanabi Capital Management. Before venture capital he held senior operating roles at Cisco Systems, including Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President and General Manager of the routing business. He currently serves on the boards of Aurora Innovation, Confluent, Wealthfront and Ferrari N.V., and Hanabi's site also lists Scale AI and ClickHouse.
