Biography

Kane Hsieh is a Partner at Root Ventures, the San Francisco seed-stage deep tech firm founded by Avidan Ross. TechCrunch reported in 2018 that he studied computer science at Harvard and spent a couple of years as a senior associate at RRE Ventures in New York before joining Root. He was named among Root's investing team when the firm closed its 76.7 million dollar second fund in 2018, and he was quoted in Newcomer's November 2025 report on Root's 190 million dollar fourth fund.
