Biography

Johannes Weber is General Partner and co-founder of Ananda Impact Ventures and is registered as a managing director of the management company Ananda Ventures GmbH in Munich. He founded and sold a company before the age of 26 and took part in an IPO, then redirected himself toward impact investing, launching the firm's first fund during the financial crisis. Handelsblatt profiled him in 2017 when the firm managed EUR 30m and had backed Auticon, Kinderzentren Kunterbunt and Mealsaver, and reported that he raised capital from the European Investment Fund, entrepreneurial families and foundations. He is a vocal advocate for founder mental health, noting that founders are twice as likely to suffer mental health problems, and he helped establish Real School, which he describes as his most impactful work. Ananda's own team page publishes no education details for him.
