He spent the first twelve years of his career in the semiconductor industry as both an engineer and an entrepreneur across Taiwan, Silicon Valley, and France, co-founding a semiconductor startup in Taiwan. He holds BS and MS degrees from National Taiwan University, an MBA from HEC Paris, and is a CFA charterholder. Based in Paris and splitting time between Europe and Asia, he was a partner in HCVC's $50 million debut fund and its $75 million second fund, and his investments at the firm include Giraffe360, Radian Aerospace, Gideon Brothers, and Valispace.
