Biography

Jason Townsend is CFO of Trucks Venture Capital, the San Francisco seed fund for transportation startups. A Michigan native, he studied computer engineering at the University of Michigan and began his career at Intel, where he became a young business development manager, before returning to Michigan to earn an MBA at the Ross School of Business. He co-founded Resonant Venture Partners, an Ann Arbor venture fund that invested in the first round of Duo Security, which Cisco acquired in 2018. He is also the founder and managing director of Townsend Mertz, a real estate investment firm established in 2018, and founder of Townsend Financial, which provides back office management.
