Biography

James Nahirny co-founded Bain Capital Ventures and was a Managing Director there, where he made investments and took board roles at private and public companies. During that period he sat on the boards of Tengion, which he joined after its 2006 Series B financing, and of Nanosphere, where SEC filings recorded him as a director and ten percent owner through Bain Capital venture funds. He later served as Managing Partner of Leerink Capital Partners and is now Managing Partner of Alsora Capital, which invests in private healthcare companies and funds. Earlier in his career he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company and worked in the mergers and acquisitions group at First Boston in New York and Tokyo.
