Biography

Gao Xiang is a co-founder of Gaorong Capital, the Beijing venture firm that launched in January 2014 under the English name Banyan Capital. Before founding the firm he was a partner at IDG Capital, where he worked on technology, media and telecom investments and had worked alongside co-founder Zhen Zhang for about ten years. SEC filings list him as a director of the general partner of Gaorong Partners Fund VI, L.P. and, in 2018, as one of the two directors of Banyan Partners Ltd. The firm changed its English name from Banyan Capital to Gaorong Capital in May 2018.
