He founded the firm in 2018 with a 100 million dollar first fund and has since raised additional vehicles, including a 245 million dollar second fund announced in 2021, a 500 million dollar early growth fund in 2022, and a 245 million dollar early-stage fund in 2023. He leads investments in companies including E-Space, Tarana, Boom Supersonic, Focused Energy, Paradromics, and Quantum Space. Before Prime Movers Lab he was founding CEO of Tachyus and of OpenGov and founded the nonprofit California Common Sense. He studied mathematics, physics, and philosophy at Stanford University.
