Ben Horowitz is cofounder and general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, the venture capital firm he started with Marc Andreessen in 2009. Before that he was cofounder and CEO of Opsware, formerly Loudcloud, which Hewlett-Packard acquired for $1.6 billion in 2007, and he held product and general management roles at HP, America Online, Netscape Communications and Lotus Development Corporation. He sits on the boards of Anyscale, Databricks, Mayvenn, NationBuilder, Navan and UnitedMasters, and wrote the books The Hard Thing About Hard Things and What You Do Is Who You Are. He created the a16z Cultural Leadership Fund to support young African Americans entering the technology industry.
