Storm Ventures

Storm Ventures was founded in 2000 by Ryan Floyd, Tae Hea Nahm, and Sanjay Subhedar in Palo Alto, raising its first fund in the same turbulent year the dot-com bubble began unraveling - timing Floyd has candidly called pure luck, since raising a year later would likely have proven far harder. The firm built a deliberately focused thesis around early-stage B2B enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and AI, taking an assertive, broad-network sourcing approach rather than relying on an insular circle of friends-of-friends deals, a pattern Floyd has said limits diversity of dealflow at many venture firms. Over more than two decades, Storm has made more than 200 investments across the United States, India, South Korea, and Europe, backing Workato, Talkdesk, and Pipedrive, and closed its seventh fund in December 2022.
