Seedcamp was founded in May 2007 by Reshma Sohoni and Saul Klein, launched with backing from 30 European investors and a modest $2.5 million first fund, and has spent nearly two decades establishing itself as Europe's original first-check investor - a title the firm still uses about itself, and one that's hard to dispute given its track record. Seedcamp has been the earliest backer of three genuine decacorns: Wise, Revolut, and UiPath, which went public on the Nasdaq in April 2021 at a $35 billion valuation. In June 2026 the firm closed $320 million in fresh capital - a $220 million Core fund and a $100 million Select fund for following winners through Series B and beyond - expanding its US presence specifically to keep supporting European founders as they go global, and pushing total assets under management past $1 billion.
