Quantonation

Quantonation calls itself the world's only physics focused venture fund. Based in Paris and investing since 2018, the firm backs startups built on breakthrough advances in physics and computing, with a portfolio spanning quantum computing hardware and software, quantum communications and networks, quantum sensing, and a widening circle of deep physics applications such as advanced materials and photonics. It enters early, from pre seed to Series A with selective follow on into Series B, and works closely with scientific founders to bring technologies out of the lab and into commercial use. Its first fund, a 91 million euro vehicle launched in 2018, backed 27 companies including Pasqal, Quandela, Multiverse Computing, and Nord Quantique, and the firm reports that the vintage performed in the top quartile globally. Its oversubscribed second fund closed at 220 million euros in February 2026, above its 200 million euro target, to back what the firm calls the industrialisation of quantum and physics based technologies across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. The close made Quantonation the largest dedicated quantum investment firm globally by assets under management.
