He trained as a physicist, with degrees in engineering and quantum physics from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris and a PhD in quantum physics completed under Alain Aspect, later a Nobel laureate. He previously held government and executive roles in energy and defense in Europe and the United States. Under his leadership Quantonation raised a 91 million euro first fund that backed 27 companies and closed its 220 million euro second fund in 2026. Quantum Zeitgeist has named him among the twenty most influential individuals in quantum technology.
