Hustle Fund was founded in 2017 by Elizabeth Yin, Eric Bahn, and Shiyan Koh, three longtime friends who'd each spent years around early-stage investing - Yin at 500 Startups, Bahn as a founder and scout - before building a fund specifically for founders who wished they'd had more help at the very beginning, often pre-revenue or even pre-product. The firm invests at unusually high volume, roughly 250 companies per fund, judging founders on execution speed and 'hustle' rather than pedigree, and runs Angel Squad, a program letting individual investors write checks as small as $1,000 into deals from Hustle Fund's own pipeline. That model has backed more than 400 startups, over 30% led by women, across fintech, digital health, web3, and B2B software, with more than $125 million raised across multiple funds since founding.
No confirmed exit yet - Hustle Fund's portfolio, including HoneyBook, Nova Credit, and Berbix, remains largely private, though early bets on The Pill Club and Webflow highlight the firm's pattern-recognition at the earliest stages
