Greylock Partners is one of the oldest venture capital firms in the world, founded in 1965 in Cambridge, Massachusetts by Bill Elfers and Dan Gregory, two investors who had cut their teeth at American Research and Development Corporation - one of the very first venture capital firms ever created. After more than four decades on the East Coast, Greylock relocated its headquarters to Silicon Valley in 2009, the same year it added LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman as a partner. The firm focuses on early-stage consumer internet and enterprise software companies, with a six-decade history spanning from early biotech investments to today's AI-first startups.
