Founder Collective

Founder Collective was founded in 2009 by David Frankel, Eric Paley, and Micah Rosenbloom on a deliberately founder-first philosophy: every full-time partner had been a startup founder first, and the firm has kept its fund sizes small by design rather than chasing scale, refusing to take the large pro-rata reserves that dilute the very founders it backs. That discipline led the firm to one of its earliest seed investments in Uber in 2010, and to being among the first investors in PillPack, the online pharmacy Amazon acquired for roughly $1 billion in 2018. Despite its small fund sizes, Founder Collective has backed more than 20 companies that went on to reach billion-dollar valuations, including The Trade Desk, Airtable, and WHOOP.
