Co-Founder & Partner Emeritus at Founder Collective · Joined 2009
View Live Interactive Profile →Eric Paley co-founded Brontes Technologies, a 3D imaging company spun out of MIT, and sold it to 3M in 2006 before earning an MBA at Harvard and co-founding Founder Collective in 2009 with David Frankel and Micah Rosenbloom. The firm built its reputation on a simple, disciplined approach: fund seed-stage founders directly, keep fund sizes small, and never take large pro-rata reserves that would dilute the very founders it backs. That approach led Founder Collective to one of its earliest seed investments in Uber in 2010, and to being among the first investors in PillPack, the online pharmacy Amazon acquired for roughly $1 billion in 2018. Paley has been named to the Forbes Midas List five times, ranking as the list's top seed investor in both 2018 and 2019, and now holds the title of Partner Emeritus at the firm.
