Forgepoint Capital

Forgepoint Capital was founded in 2015 by Alberto Yépez and Don Dixon, two Trident Capital colleagues who had already spent years building and investing in cybersecurity companies together, and set out to create one of the first venture funds exclusively dedicated to the category. That focus produced the largest sector-specific investment team in cybersecurity venture capital, backed by a Global Advisory Council of more than 100 industry leaders spanning former entrepreneurs, government officials, and practicing CISOs, CIOs, and CTOs. The firm's roughly $1 billion under management has funded nearly 80 companies across cybersecurity, AI security, and infrastructure software, producing three unicorns, two IPOs, and more than 35 acquisitions - including Attivo Networks, Area 1, and BehavioSec, all led personally by Yépez.
