Cybernetix Ventures

Cybernetix Ventures is a Boston based venture capital firm founded in 2021 to invest exclusively in robotics, automation, and industrial AI. The firm backs pre-seed, seed, and Series A startups across North America and Europe, writing initial checks of roughly 100 thousand to 2 million dollars. Its thesis is that robotics and physical AI are entering an accelerated growth phase as labor shortages, reshoring, and maturing autonomy push intelligent machines into the physical economy. Cybernetix concentrates on verticals where automation solves acute operational problems: advanced manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, architecture, engineering and construction, healthcare and medical devices, agriculture, and climate and sustainability. It also funds the enabling layer beneath these applications, including industrial AI, cloud infrastructure for robotics, cybersecurity for robotics, autonomy software, and sensors and edge computing. The firm was launched by two robotics operators rather than generalist financiers: Fady Saad, co-founder of the MassRobotics startup hub, and Mark Martin, a former Analog Devices vice president who ran a billion dollar industrial automation and sensing business. That operating network, plus an advisory bench drawn from iRobot, Amazon Robotics, and Locus Robotics, is central to its model of helping hardware founders reach commercial deployment. Fund I launched in 2022 targeting 50 million dollars and backed 23 early stage companies, and in 2025 the firm announced it was raising a 100 million dollar second fund.
