Breega

Breega is a founder-led European and African venture capital firm headquartered in Paris that backs companies from pre-seed to Series A and above in digital, climate and deep tech. It runs a multi-geography structure: Paris and a London office opened around 2018, a Barcelona office opened alongside its EUR 250 million fund in 2022, and an Africa practice launched in 2024 with Breega Africa Seed I and offices in Lagos and Cape Town covering Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Morocco, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Cameroon. The firm says it only hires people who have built or scaled a company, and it staffs an in-house operational team (talent, marketing, finance, legal) that works with portfolio companies. Its limited partners have included Bpifrance, the European Investment Fund, Isomer Capital, banks and insurers, and the African Development Bank in the Africa fund.
