Archetype

Archetype describes itself as an early-stage venture fund focused on accelerating the programmable future, and elsewhere on its own site as focused on accelerating the decentralized future. It says it collaborates with founders at the earliest stages, including pre-idea, and backs them "From first check to Series A", with a stated mission of helping builders scale "from 0x to 1" across a range it describes as "defi to consumer". Its own long-form about page places the firm in New York City. Partner-level focus areas the firm states on its team page are crypto-native infrastructure, DePin and DeFi (Dmitriy Berenzon) and AI research and investments (Danny Sursock). At the time of its February 2022 coverage the firm was reported to invest between $500,000 and $1.5 million into early-stage crypto startups.
