Ash Egan is Founder and General Partner of Archetype, a New York early-stage crypto venture fund. His Archetype biography states that he has been leading investments in seed-stage crypto companies and protocols since 2015, having led early investments in Chainalysis (2015), Mina (2017), Near (2018) and Balancer (2019), and that he led Accomplice's investments in Dapper Labs/Flow (2018) and Bison Trails (2018), the latter acquired by Coinbase. Before founding Archetype he was a Partner at Accomplice leading the firm's blockchain and crypto practice, co-launched the venture arm of Consensys, and spent time at Converge VC in Boston. He is named as a member of the general partner and an executive officer on the SEC Form D filings of Acrylic I LP (May 2021) and Archetype Crypto III LP (September 2024). He is the author or co-author of most of Archetype's published investment announcements, including those for Octane, Remix, TACEO, Tenbin, Relay, Nava, Meow, Turnkey and Venice.
