The group's own announcement of 30 January 2024 states that the board elected him chairman at a meeting on 29 January 2024 and that the outgoing chairman Ni Zewang retired at the statutory age. Articles published on the group's own site in 2021 and 2022 identify him as the group's president (总裁). In a 25 February 2026 article on the group's site he stated that as at the end of January 2026 the group had cumulatively directly managed capital of more than RMB 500 billion (超过5000亿元), that more than 85 per cent of the 1,800 plus companies it has directly invested in are start-up or growth stage and more than 90 per cent are hard technology companies, and that the group brought the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area fund of the national venture capital guidance fund, sized at RMB 50.45 billion (504.5亿元), to Shenzhen in December 2025.
