Biography

Zachary Bogue co-founded DCVC - originally Data Collective - with Matt Ocko, building the firm around a model most venture funds don't attempt: pairing career investors with a standing bench of more than 35 technical experts, including CTOs, chief scientists, and professors at Stanford and Berkeley. The point of that structure is to make it possible to underwrite companies whose core risk is scientific rather than commercial. Bogue is closely associated with Rocket Lab, SentinelOne, and Element AI, and wrote and publicly discussed the Rocket Lab bet years before a broader aerospace-investor consensus existed - consistent with a firm willing to fund categories that need both patient capital and genuine technical fluency. Public DCVC materials do not disclose his education, so that field is intentionally left blank here rather than inferred.
