His biography on the company's own leadership page states that he started his career in technology at Atari Germany in 1990, moved to Hong Kong in 1995 to establish Hong Kong Cybercity/Freenation, set up Outblaze in 1998, sold Outblaze's messaging unit to IBM in 2009 and pivoted Outblaze into an incubator, and that Animoca Brands was one of the companies it incubated, created in 2014. He set up the Dalton Learning Lab in 2017 and founded ThinkBlaze, the research arm of Outblaze. The same page states that Animoca Brands "has invested in over 600 companies and projects related to digital assets", and lists among his recognitions Global Leader of Tomorrow at the World Economic Forum, Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the DHL/SCMP Awards, and inclusion in the Cointelegraph top 100 notable people in blockchain. He is a member of the advisory board of BAFTA and a director of the Asian Youth Orchestra. He is the public face of the company's investment activity but Animoca Brands does not identify him as holding a partner title in any fund vehicle.
