Biography

Yan Ke is a co-founder of Northern Light Venture Capital, the China focused venture firm that has been operating since 2005. Before that he co-founded the network security company NetScreen Technologies in 1997 with Ken Xie and Feng Deng, and he reported beneficial ownership of 5.6 percent of NetScreen in a 2002 Schedule 13G; NetScreen was acquired by Juniper Networks in 2004. Schedule 13G filings on Burning Rock Biotech in 2021 and on Yuanbao Inc. in 2025 name him as one of the directors of the ultimate general partner entities of Northern Light's funds. Northern Light's own website states that the firm has backed over 400 companies since 2005.
