Biography

Will Coffield is Co-founder and General Partner of Riot Ventures. He began his venture career at Saturn Partners after studying economics at James Madison University, helping build that firm's seed investing program and opening its West Coast office. In 2017 he co-founded Riot Ventures with Stephen Marcus, launching with a 10 million dollar fund focused on pre-seed and seed investments in deep technology; the firm announced a 75 million dollar second fund in 2020 and has since grown to more than 1 billion dollars in assets under management. At Riot he focuses on defense and aerospace, logistics, and advanced manufacturing, and has led investments in companies including True Anomaly, Parallel Systems, Oxide Computer Company, Alloy Enterprises, Elementary ML, Rugged Robotics, OpenEnvoy, Azimuth, and Route.
