Biography

Teruhide Sato is the founder and CEO of BEENEXT, the Singapore-based early-stage venture firm he established in 2015. He began his internet career in 1997, co-founding Cybercash Japan in partnership with Softbank, and in 1999 co-founded netprice, which became the BEENOS group. He led BEENOS to an IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2004 and stepped down as its CEO in December 2014. BEENOS subsequently invested US$5M as a limited partner in BEENEXT's first fund, but BEENEXT is managed independently through BEENEXT Capital Management Pte. Ltd. He is listed as the representative of BEENEXT Capital Management in Japanese institutional filings.
