Seth Levine co-founded the Boulder, Colorado venture firm Foundry Group in 2006 after beginning his venture capital career at Mobius Venture Capital. Before venture capital he worked in Morgan Stanley's telecommunications investment banking group and was a corporate finance officer at FirstWorld Communications, where he led the company's 2000 IPO and concurrent equity raises of more than $260 million. He co-founded Pledge 1%, is a trustee of Macalester College, and co-authored The New Builders with Elizabeth MacBride. In January 2024 he wrote that Foundry's 2022 fund would be the firm's last and that Foundry would not raise another fund.
