Biography

Jason Mendelson co-founded Foundry Group in 2006 after working as a consultant and software engineer at Accenture, practising corporate and securities law at Cooley LLP, and serving as managing director and general counsel at Mobius Venture Capital. He co-founded SRS Acquiom, co-chaired the National Venture Capital Association's general counsel group and sat on the NVCA board from 2009 to 2013, and helped draft the standardised venture financing documents the industry adopted. He co-authored Venture Deals: Be Smarter Than Your Lawyer and Your Venture Capitalist with Brad Feld and has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado. He retired from Foundry Group in 2020 and is listed as founding partner emeritus.
